Barbara Green, who works in both biblical studies and spirituality,

is widely published in the area of biblical literature. She earned a doctorate in Near Eastern Religions from the University of California, Berkeley, and the Graduate Theological Union. Currently, she is a professor of biblical studies at the Graduate Theological Union and teaches both seminarians and graduate students in religion. She has published several academic books and many articles on the Old Testament / Hebrew Bible and enjoys writing fiction. She is a Dominican Sister and lives in Berkeley, California.
